Sorry I can't give a pet portrait challenge photo without a pet a score higher than a 2 |

...but not a pet.
The background is poorly chosen and doesn't allow your subject to really shine. |

Hahahah, very cute. I have some guard cat chimes on my porch! Cute idea but not quite what the challenge was about now. If you had moved the dog to a better location, i.e. not so busy background and got some better lighting this would proabably score a little higher. As is a 4 |

what in the world? i'm forcing myself to comment because i'm scoring this a 3. i can't tell if you want a comment or not. the challenge was 'pet portrait'. i guess this represents 'out of the box' thinking, as dogs are typically pets. on the portrait side, though, it misses, as it doesn't really capture the essence of the personality and character of the pet. the background is too busy (actually too busy to even be saved by post processing).
so, why is this image in the challenge? why am i commenting? are you entering it for grins, are you entering to get better a challenges, or are you entering to become a better photographer? i just can't tell. hope you get whatever you're after... |
