Great lighting and focus. Not wild about the frame, but it's a really good pet portrait. |

This is a portrait that I'm sure you will want to make a print of and display. Just wonderful! |

Like the angle of Blackie's head and the ear (alert and focused) - one of my favorites this challenge |

I like this one. Not a fan of the border treatment, but the half cocked ear adds the illusion of motion. The detail is nice and the eyes look great. |

This is my second go around =) - Very nice portrait! WI would only recommend not burning the edges... you really did not need it for this portrait. Also, I would have left a little more open space on the left. Otherwise, excellent job! |

The first pass I did on voting I gave Blackie a 6 and upon further and longer inspection I'm trying to figure out what it was that made me do that. The only thing I can think or see is the edging, I'm not a big fan of this type of border, it takes away from the subject. And maybe it was the blue color and the shadow on the left side of the neck. But after taking more time with this shot, there is no way I can leave it at a 6, that would be a crime and I would have to be severly licked to death by Blackie for such an insult. Am raising to an 8 |

The square fadeout does nothing for me, but the subject and the great details make up a wonderful portrait which delivers the beauty and character of this wonderful guy. Bumping up. |

Very nice photo, but I think the border takes away from it. |

i don't care for the border effect here because it is too close to the ear on the right side. beautiful doggie :) |
