I would have used a W instead of an M
04/12/2005 12:55:42 PM
good scenic photo. might have gone with the "w" instead
04/11/2005 02:41:34 PM
looks more like a W.

I see a W. Your picture is very small, try to submit as close as possible to 640px. Your composition does not lead the eye to the letter. 3. Keep them coming.

The M is a reach but it is none the less a nice picture. 6

Looks more like a W to me.

good image i like how you used as much foreground as you did it sets of the mountains in the background
04/08/2005 05:03:56 AM
(this is not an universal truth but...) i think if you wanted to show the M in the mountain you should have the mountain in foucus. If the subject was on the near trees and the mountain was out of the center this would be a great photo, this way is just ok

Nice.

I dont understand why people dont use the maximum pixel dimensions in their submissions. Your shot which is interesting would score much much better at it's maximum allowable size. At the moment it looks squashed and cluttered.
04/07/2005 01:56:20 AM
Very pretty shot, but you need to use the full 680 size so we can see it better. Very nice work, but I think the size will pull down your score.

Very pretty!

nice view... great M.. 9

Unless you have some compelling reason to use such a small image it's a good idea to take advantage of the full 640 pixels that DPC allows in at least one direction.

The "M" is rather out of focus; a deeper DOF and a UV filter to eliminate some of the atmospheric haze would have helped this picture.

I see more of a W from the sky.

and s is for small... i think you misunderstood the challenge - thought not reading the title - I can make out a W in the mountains. Its a nice picture, but just wish it wasnt as small.
04/06/2005 01:35:56 PM
Why so small?
04/06/2005 10:39:09 AM
Looks more like a W to me... or a three-humped M...
04/06/2005 08:44:25 AM
Awesome but I see more of a W, nice catch.
04/06/2005 02:10:36 AM
i love this composition. i wouldn't have noticed the mountains if it weren't for the title. now when i look at it, my eye is immediatelly drawn there.
04/06/2005 12:46:20 AM
What a sweet LITTLE photo! I bet it would look even better if you had used the full 640pixels allowed. Well spotted letter.

"W" is for the wind between the peaks. ;-)
