bug(yellow)light with flash below
from inital tests - impact was at 2.2ms from breaking light beam
this image was at 2.4ms
total of 5 bulbs were broken - this is the best
crop, colorbalance & sharpend

post challenge note : i tested with ballons the same diameter as the lightbulb -
first 2 lightbulbs were just touchingthe surface,
third was 400us more and not as interesting image
- this image was 4th (split the time)
- fifth image was with a white light bulb which seemd to disintegrate ..
sixth light bulb wouldn't break :(

Great photo. I'd be interested to know how 200 microseconds was chosen; if by trial and error, then how many bulbs did it take?

Wow, beautiful! Can't wait to hear how you timed and lit this!
I think the only thing I would change is, I would like to see more of the 'hammer'. Is that what it is? Just a touch of dodging at the top so I can see what the metal disc is attached to.

Wow. How many light bulbs did you go through trying to get a good shot of this? Even in burst mode this would be a tough moment to capture.

although this is a copy-cat photo (this idea has already been posted here in the past) you caught the very right moment(shape vs. ruptures). very nice!

Amazing, is the bulb lighten up from behind or is it actuallty the bulb that glows?
