Thank you for all the comments and constructive critism. :)
When I spotted this I wanted it shot at an angle against the sun, as I did want the sun glare there in the left. The composition is off, but the ground in the background is actually a sloping farmer's field. It led furthur down into a creek.
The sky is blotchy, and I hated this, but I did want to give it a try anyhow. I liked how the tree didn't have any leaves (or buds) on it yet... still potrayed late winter.
I did get a lot of good feedback and I hope I get a chance to use some of the pointers in the future. |

Got a couple things to comment on here and hope they can be of help.
I'm sure by now you have received comments about the mottled/blotchy sky. I see this sometimes using neat image, sometimes if I have "played with" the contrast & saturation too much. In any case, if you didn't use neat image, it is a decent tool to have in your arsenal to reduce noise.
The bird house and horizon being off, throw this out of balance in my opinion
and lastly a slightly different composition would help to have the main subject not quite in the center.
Tough shot with the sun where it was, as i can just see a bit of lens flare, which is OK to have in a shot like this, and often adds to it a bit.
I hope you take no offense at what may seem "picking it apart", but it will hopefully be taken as constructive critisism. (4)

Alot of talk about people giving a low score with no comment-- well to me its a 5, and Heres why to me ( take it w/a grain of salt, I'm no expert), Ist really overexposed to the right of the frame, - the building Isnt really a Building, but I guess it qualifies if your a bird. and its not that in focus.. And the sky is kinda blotchy.. |

It's a shame about the lens flare, but I like the rest. |

Pretty, and the flare works for you, rather than against you. Your highlight/contrast adjustment has left a slight visible halo around the top of the birdhouse, though, something that always bugs me when it happens to me. I hope another commenter has an idea about how to keep that from happening. |

I would crop the whole left side out (eliminating that light glare) right up to and including a tiny bit of the birdhouse and all of the ground (eliminating the crooked look of the tree line.) |

Great idea! I just don't know for sure if the birdhouse abandoned. Can't see inside it. Perhaps if taken at a different time of day, when the lighting on the front of the house it would have more detail. Like the color and composition. |

The solare flare in this photo is distracting to me. I also feel like a shot that was tighter on the birdhouse might come off better...though you have a nice blue sky for the background. |

Way to think outside the (bird) box! Sun spot is a bit distracting to my eye. Horizon line is tilted. |

A unique enrty to say the least but with the sun whiting most of the detail out it lacks clarity or crispness. Goodluck in this challenge. |

Flare here is cool, but detracts from your subject matter. |
