 A blustery Sunday afternoon on the Mall in Washington, DC with kites flying everywhere. This airplane kite was one of the largest and most intriguing...unfortunately it didn't get much higher off the ground than what you see here. Not very advanced, I know, but my best composition.

Aww man! I just missed this. I had to go in to work. Looks like a great kite festival. The sky is junk, but can't be helped. I like the central placement of the man looking up, and the overall feel of confetti in the sky.

what a great capture!!! no, make that GREAT!!! perfectly seen and composed. you couldn't ask for more (well, except maybe a little more interesting sky...). all the same, glad you didn't dodge and burn this to death. wow...i could just go on and on. really hope this gets the attention it deserves! good luck!

Lovely choice of human subject, an older man being a little boy in wonder at the kites. Sky could have given this photo so much more, but we take what we get on the day we shoot. All the best.
