Challenge: Abandoned Buildings (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Nikon D70
Location: Santa Clarita, California
Date: Apr 7, 2005
Aperture: 7.1
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/200
Galleries: Architecture, Black and White

It was sunny all week, figures it would be overcast the day I shoot. This building is one of several dozen larger buildings hidden in the hills in Los Angeles County. They used to manufacture air-bag systems but rumor has hit that they closed due to a few on-site deaths!? Now a local haven for graffiti artists

Rotated and cropped. Autocolor with a Channel Mixer layer set to Monochrome, sacrificing some details in the grated doors to adhere to the mask-free rules.

Nice artistic interpretation on this challenge.
There is beauty in what society calls an eyesore.
Foreground foliage is a bit soft and lacking detail and overall the shot may have looked a little better had it been shot at a slight angle so the main focal point wasn't dead center.
Unusual title too.

I'm struggling to identify with this one. I keep trying to figure out what the structure is. It's a little flat. A 3/4 view might have been better to show some depth.

Good focus. Good subject placement. Would have liked to see this one in color.

Your photo is ok, but the title is terrible. Please don't encourage vandalism. (If I've misinterpreted your translation to English, I apologize)
