I usually prefer b&w with landscapes involving the woods or old houses, but in this particular shot it blends in too much. The shot has no dramatic effect. You could have darkened the woods and not the house and it would have stood out more. This is a nice shot, just my critique..

nice finish Cheryl. Your starting to get good. I like this, it's a great structure for the challenge. I think you could of left the color..maybe might of looked even better! good clarity and angle.

I like the structure, I would have liked to see maybe a little more contrast though to make it kind of a bit more 3D. But I probably could not have done better. Good Job.

This is a nice image. I like the darks and lights seen throughout this image. I also like the lines seen in the tree branches. Nice work.

This is a great building, however it is lost a little with the use of black and white.
I wonder whether this one would have faired better in colour..

Intersting building. I wouldn't mind seeing what else came from this shoot. This one doesn't draw my eye in as much as I'd like, with the big dark tree to the left.

Great composition. Your choice for making it a B&W was a wise one in my opinion.
Well Done!

Black and white is the only way to go with these old buildings. Nice one!

good find meets the challenge. focus seems soft in some areas and all those trees are distracting but thats out of your control from this angle.

Definitely evokes the feeling that the land is reclaiming the structure.

This reminds me of the stone house ruins that were quite numerous in eastern PA, where I used to live....nice picture.

I think colour might have helped the building stand out from the trees some more.
