unique in this challenge. I can appreciate that. I think if you left the shutter open a little longer, the blur might have given a nice effect. |

I like to photograph streams as well. The most popular idiom for streams is to use really slow film, stop the lens down to f/32 , slap on a neutral filter, set the camera on a lens, expose for several seconds. Then the smoothe white color of the water really contrasts with the rough texture of the dark rocks. My own point and shoot won't let me do this, so I'm wondering whether I should try to photograph streams on brightly lit nights or near dawn or dusk. You migtht find that the composition feels less static if the stream flows diagonally through the photograph. |
