PFI opened in 1839 and was one of the first female institutes in the south for the "cream of southern society." It was later a summer hotel, private residence, and hospital for wounded men during WWI. In the '30s it was a theater, and was last occupied in the '40s. Today it serves as a historic park and archaeological site and has the reputation of being haunted.

Nice perspective of the building. Like seeing the trees through the windows. Like the colors. The only thing I might change would be to crop out a little more of the dark foreground grass, leaving enough to show the slope. Nice photograph!
