 A Common Murre Egg found several blocks from our home, below some cliffs next to the ocean.
Studio photo: three light sources (yeah Rubber Duckies!), above, from right and a flashlight to illuminate the interior.

I never thought I'd be glad to see another egg photo, but after 500 abandoned buildings this is a refreshing change. I think it still meets the challenge, though. Good idea.

Aha! Somebody was thinking outside the box. I like the look of the eggshell...definately old and abandoned. The lighting is good. I may have choosen a different color background, but overall, a nice effort.

The choice of background colour was brilliant and the lighting has taken full advantage making the whole image sing.

Well the title fits the photo, but I'm not sure this qualifies as a building. I like your color. I would have softened the lighting just a touch (you can see double shadows).

I know this may seem to literal, but I would like this picture better if it was actually of a building. However, the photograph itself is of good quality.

You're taking the concept of "building" a bit far, but this is beautifully shot and I like the conceptual link to the challenge. I suspect you'll get dinged a lot for "not meeting the challenge" but I applaud your approach. A few nits: a wee bit more depth of field to bring the outside back of the shell in focus (although I like the inside of the shell being out of focus, so this might not be possible), and get rid of the spot in the shadow to the bottom left of the shell.
