Dragged the family out to shoot Abandoned Buildings at a "nearby" Ghost Town / Mercury Mine. Read online that it is now a "SuperFund" site. Heavy Mercury mining beginning in 1850's, later Asbestos mining. Ended up taking 2 1/2 hours, one way, to drive the 65 miles over narrow winding roads. Wife and Daughter not happy about 6 1/2 hours without passing a bathroom along the way. 8-( They were real trooper, couldn't have done it without them!

Thanks!!!!

Shot about 200 pics, liked this one the best.

Cropped, adjusted contrast and lighting. Color adjust and unsharp mask.

As a suggestion, try taking the image into Photoshop (assuming you have it), and in the Hue/Saturation adjustments, take the yellow channel hue and saturation to the right a little (may 10 pts) and bright the lightness down a bit (10-20 pts) to give the yellows more of a darker, richer green look, and bring the red saturation up just a little.

The lighting is a bit harsh on the eyes.

The gray shack in a sea fo green really works well.

The light used here gives the photo a very flat feel to it. If you took the shot in the early morning or evening it would be better.

Nice color saturation and pretty good composition. I don't like the way the structure on the left has been cut in half. I would try this agian but either add more of the left structure, or leave it off.

good image, the extra piece of building on the left is not needed.

Too much zoom. When zooming in like this from a distance will cause the photo to be a sligt bit OoF. I also find there to be to much green and lacking clarity which again could be due to the distance from which the shot was taken from. Perhaps a tripod and a tighter crop would have made for a nicer photo. Good luck in this challenge.

I think this shot would have more impact if the shed? on the left hand side had been cropped out and a closer shot of the house itself.

That's not funny. I have been looking for houses, and just recently was shown one very similiar to this.

The green is so rich. I like the broken tree in the forefront.
