 Everyone thinks this photo has an oriental feel to it--even without the characters. So when I realized that it needed another element to balance the composition I added the characters. They are supposed to represent Dreamer... I thought they added a nice touch to the photo whatever they mean :)

I had to go back and check just to make sure, but yes, by and large the color is very true to the original shot. It was shot with a white balance that was preset for indoor lighting from my "studio" lights, giving the entire photo a heinous blue cast. But I just adjusted the white balance to cloudy when I processed the RAW file and it came out this color.

By the way, its just an ornamental shurb in my neighbors yard. No cherry blossoms or anything : )

I have to ask if this color is natural. It looks like cherry blossoms, but I haven't seen this color before. As for the characters, I verified with my Japanese wife that they are Chinese characters that mean thinker/dreamer--person. It does make a very nice composition overall.
