The door was actually a dull rust colored red, but I like this color better.

nice find. you might consider applying perspective correction as the door appears unduly distorted. you might also consider taking 3-5 more shots of various parts of the door and coloring them all a bit different, then putting them together as a series. just a thought. thanks for sharing.
