Greetings from the Critique Club
I like the use of humor in this photo (completely appropriate for these speed challenges).
The colors and contrast are very striking. The lighting seems a little harsh or maybe the photo is oversharpened - but I'm not sure that bothers me as it seems to be more of a style for the photo.
I like the composition and the overall framing of the shot. Nice work. |

Dobies are the BEST! I've had two. They can show such intensity when they want/need to! How long did it take you to get this? Did he/she think it was a treat? Great shot! |

Great dog shot (and you have a tack there too!). The colouration and the slight oversharpening all work very well. |

Fun. The dog is so sharp, and the lighting is nice. |

Love the idea. The fur of the dog is a little too bright IMHO. |

:) Love this image, love the title. But there are no tacks in this image. ;) The dog seems over sharpened a bit but is cool he let oyu do that to him. And I love the title. :) 7 for now, may bump later. |

I get it and I like it! Only suggestion would be his eyes blend in. |

Boy am I scared! Cute idea. Nicely framed. Good choice of bright light, short focal length lens. Although the dog's face more than fills the frame, I am left with a sense of emptiness here. Somehow the dog - in his choice of expression - has subverted the photographer's intent and has become the background, and suddenly the tack is too small. That's just what I see. |

As I'm sure everyone will tell you, this image is over-sharpened, but it's a really cool shot nonetheless. Nice point of focus (har!) and really good setup. Very well done. |
