with pretty names like these the choice for a title was easy
curious ..everytime i look this image it makes me smile myself..i hope it has the same effect on u
exept for 2 slight overexposures (hand, hat) im quite happy with this shot
with people i think it often comes to interfer without interupt too much with what is going on and hope thus some spontaneity is preserved
children are easy going models in this regard always so preoccupied with whatever they are doing..here they were in the middle of a dress up party
and first of all i will tell them not to smile if they don t feel like :)
Bo the girl on the foreground just loves cams and that shows..i better keep an eye on her
Rody on the left the daughter of my oldest brother's daughter she seems to express a little more reservation :) but thats fine with me

for the technical parts i just wanna say i put some effort in bringing as much as possible highlights out from the background and i just made some minor contrast adjustments on the faces to get it right for my taste as the natural light was really nice
thanks for comments in advance

Greetings from the Critique Club.

This is a charming photograph and one the parents are sure to treasure. I love the dark sepia effect here, it compliments the "dress-up" style of the childrens clothing. The dark hat seems to blend into the background a little bit too much and I wonder if that could be corrected in Photoshop. All in all, this is a wonderful look into childhood, and children. I love how you have captured a precious moment for all time.

Beautiful girls -- might have cropped in a little closer on their faces

This is a precious memory.
Your toning works well in this shot as well as the natural feel of the poses here.
Nothing like a smile to light up a picture of people.

They look like they are having fun. I like your use of duotone here. It allows the focus to be on their faces rather than the background. Good work!!

Wow! Great shot. This one's a keeper - get it up on the wall. Nice tones and contrast (maybe a bit dark, but not much). Good job.

far bettter than amny of the children photographs in this challenge. I like the candid sense, the toning. a pity, perhaps, about the overlapping hat, but the sense of mood is infectious, and the exposure/processing spot on, for me.

Good sepia toning, it looks like the girl in the foreground is just infront of the focal plane and could be just a shade sharper, but well done overall!
