i think the white background is a bit ackward in this shot. i think a nice orange would have complemented the green better or yellow for the purple.

nice image. seems to be lit just a tad too brightly, which is taking away some of the strength of the image. i also wonder if you had taken a perspective that would have put the blooms a bit closer if the composition would have been more dynamic. as is, i find the blooms competing for attention, as opposed to one complementing the other. all the same, nice work. good luck!

The detail in the flower petals is fanstastic. Unfortunately, the background is such a harsh contrast that is overpowers the flowers and washes out some of the rich green and texture that may otherwise be found in the stems.

Good use of backlighting here. I feel that the composition is a little bit awkward and that a smudgeon of fill-flash (perhaps at 1/4 power or strongly diffused) could have been used to bring out the details of that was underexposed due to the starkness of the background and the backlighting.
