I am looking to buy a new Digital Camera and wanted to get your professioanl opinion of either the Nikon D200 or the Canon EOS 5D.
I know that the processor is the most important, but what is the Advantage and or disadvantage of either of these Models. What I know is the Canon does have 12.8 MegaPixel and is Full Frame and is suppose to have a better Chip, but I've seen some really nice Colorful Macro Shots with the Nikon D200.
Ultimately, my goal is to incorporate My digital Photos with Digitally Designed Art and enlarge on a LightJet (Requires 150dpi at final size for optimal printing - apparent 4,000dpi)at sizes up to 4'x8'.
Any suggestions on these Cameras or others you might recommed with any info on lenses as well?
Thanks,

It's a beautiful shot. I didn't vote on the symmetry challenge (didn't enter it), but I think I would have scored this a 6, maybe a 7. The challenge aspect isn't that clear. I see the spikes and there is some pattern to it, but it doesn't stay consistant. Most spots have 4 similarly sized spikes, but some extra (small) spikes, too. Color saturation is very nice. |

thanks for all the comments. For me, I am having a hard time with people not seeing the symmetry in this. It is actually loaded with it. I took the shot on an odd angle, because I thought having to be blatant with the symmetry wouldn't matter. And it looked tons better.
the very top of the cactus has four pointed symmetry. The splines are (almost) all symmetrical with each other. Four splines come out of each area of the cactus. and although not perfect symmetry, going down the stem of the cactus is a sort of rotating symmetry. But, what the hey, I still like it.
Again thank you for your comments. |

Awesome shot. Is this for the symmetry challenge? I ask because its a great macro. Doesn't look indoors, but very nice. I don't like this particular shot for this challenge, but it is really a quality image. |

Colors are fantastic. Symmetry is a little week. I never seen the sky that color. Very cool. |

I love the crispness of this photo. The shallow depth of field really brings attention to your subject. Great work. |

Excellent shot in it's own right, but I'm having trouble seeing the symmetry. |

Exceptional color and beauty, especially the blue highlights from the background sky. I credit you for seeing the symmetry of each pattern of spines. This is a much more subtle connection to the "symmetry" theme. A gorgeous image. |

Nice shot of the cacti but it's not really symetrical. Looks random. |
