Children feeding the seagulls at sunset. I upped the curves (contrast) and increased the saturation to bring out the sun. I cropped to cut out some houses. I am not really happy with the composition (putting the girl in the middle) but I love the way the light hits her hair, so maybe it's good she's the center of attention!

I like the light and the texture in the sand. The composition strikes me as being a little loose. I think the greatest weakness might be the placement of the pink girl smack dab in the center of the photo. Try cropping the left quarter off - just left or just right of those two white gulls; and tell me what you think.

Makes you wish you were there. Lovely, soft colors from the setting sun

The red tones are a bit overpowering...try bringing the red level down a bit for late day sun shots like this. Keds were having fun it looks like.

nice saturation on sand select people and slighly desaturate but not too much

Okay photo. But you can't really tell much about the personality of your subjects. They just happen to be part of the composition. Try to capture some action or interaction between the two kids.

I just resized my browser so I could scroll the image and crop out the boy from the shot. When I did this, it may the image much stronger by removing the clutter on the left side of the frame. Cropping is an important tool. Removing elements that don't add to the shot will usually make a stronger presentation.

I would have gone with a tighter crop to focus on the people

I would of scored this higher if it had been cropped showing only the girl removing the houses. Just looks a little busy. It's still good and the sunset glow is really pretty. 7
