| Personally, I think that if the lighting was softer and more straight about, it would create less shadows on the blue background, making the lemons and orange stand out better. The orange also seems a little dark, but that may just be due to the shadows from the lighting. |

Greetings from the Critique Club!
You have several comments below, and I agree with most of their ideas. More in depth: your image is creative and refreshing. The colors and tones you've created work well, and they certainly comply with the challenge.
When I look at your image, I see lemons and oranges in geometric shapes, and so my mind is transported past the fruits and to science and math, perhaps even how even fruit can stand as a symbol for the essence of the math and science all around us. I think this connection could be even more enhanced with more dramatic lighting, either direct or indirect to increase the mood and suggest that there is more here than just oranges and lemons.
Your cropping and positioning of the objects in your frame is well done; I'm glad that it's not exactly centered. The focus is just a bit off, when I think that sharpness is required here.
This is a fine image, and I'm happy to see some interesting and new ideas represented in this challenge.

| Couple things with this picture. The aperture has to be smaller for this photo to work. The lemon looks focused at the top but the orange is out of focus, considerably so for this type of shot. The blue is way oversaturated because the orange appears black around the edges of it. Honestly I think the idea is very good though. |
