a rock/paper/scissors sculpture, backlit with a halogen desktop lamp and an additional halogen light with a paper snoot illuminating the rocks. I would have liked to have removed the lines in the back behind the plate, but no spot editting allowed - doh!

Great way to bring together all of the elements without it looking like that is what you set out to do.

Excellent capturing of the "zen" mood. Wonderful job on the lighting! You'll have to tell me how you work that someday ;-)

I like the lighting. It's a little unsettling to me that the lines of the fan converge at a slightly different point than the scissors, but other than that it's a very pleasing picture. Captures a feeling of serenity and simplicity.

I've only been in this group for a few months and I've never scored a photo as a perfect "10"... until this one. Outstanding job and a breathtakingly beautiful photograph. Well done & congratulations - I'll be extremely surprised if you don't win. :-)

Great comp. Asthetically pleasing (man I sure hope I spelled that right) a great use of subtle color and shapes.

Very nice! I think if the loops of the handles were touching all the way across and that slight reflection on the left hand pair of scissors was removed (at the crotch; I love the reflections on the loops and the rivets) , it may have looked a little better. Also in the backgound you can see a thin white line that takes away ever so slightly from the beauty of this shot. Great picture though. Very creative.
