selective desat is fun but I don't think you needed it on this shot |

Not a bad capture, but I am not at all liking the choice of selective desat. Maybe desat all but skin color or just the flip-flops (especially if they were both wearing them). Best of luck. |

Nice use of selective desaturation. |

I really like the idea behind this shot but the thongs just don't fit and become a distraction. |

What if rather than just the red you brought back the color in the girls? |

Not really sure the selective desaturation works well in this shot.
B&W is always a good choice in my opinion, but the red is a clash in this shot as the objects in red were not really the main focal point the way eyes would be for instance. |

My kids want one - think they're too dangerous. Neat desat of color. |

I'm not crazy about this use of partial desat. To make that technique effective, it needs to highlight an essential element or something that really adds to the image. It might work if it were just the flip flops, but the writing on their shirts is overkill. |

Good shot, would have been much better if you had skipped this red color adjustment |

i do not care for the selective desat in this one. i don't see a real purpose for it. |

As far as I can tell, this is a "because I can" use of selective desaturation. I would have preferred to see this shot with a shallower DOF and a bit of motion blur. |

This is a good example of what I'd call "gratuitious use of selective desaturation." Why would you choose to emphasize those particular elements of the shot? It just doesn't make sense to me, in all honesty. |

The "selective" red is a bit distracting.. would have been much better without it. The sheen of the trampoline surface is super nice. |

There are places where selective desaturation works, and places where it doesn't. The picture would do a lot better if the girls were not desaturated. 5 |

While selective desat is fun to play with, it's also pretty unnecessary and detracts from this photo. I feel like this youthful activity needs all it's color. |

Good shot, but I think you should have make it totally b/w and left out the red. |

The red only filter does not thrill me. |
