The car is more of a focal point than the photographer, and he is too dark.

The way this is framed emphasizes the car. A narrower crop, more headroom for the photographer and a bit of motion blur on the car might have shifted attention toward the guy in the background.

The darkness of the tire wall dominates the central part of this image and the subject (photographer) hardly seems like an important element with respect to this challenge.
Advanced editing allows some selective dodging to enhance the highlights in the shadows.
