Well, this looks like a pretty hard project to use as something for DPC.
Well for starters. This picture is way to crowded, there is a lot going on on the picture and there is hard to focus your attention somewhere. If you would had one kid or something and the family as its background or sometihng this picture realy would work. But now, everyone in the picture are equal wich makes the picture realy hard to focus on.
For the technical part, you should go for a better lightning when you take a shot like this, then you can up your speed a lot and you don't get the problem with the moving legs of the kid or the hand of the litle girl.
Another one is to give people some space, the guy in green on the left lost his but outside the picture, wich makes him kinda out of the picture but not totally. The woman on the far left, her arm is kinda missing and that is not so good either.
Then there is the only thing that realy bugs me on this picture and that is. What tha hell is that pink thing in the bottom left? Remove such things before shootin... hehe
Well hopefully I helped you some with these comments of mine.

You did a terrific job. This is probably the most difficult photo to take in this entire challenge. I have an appreciation for how hard this was. Great job. Only small suggestion I could make would be to add one or two more poeple to the stair case. |

i like the people but the horizon is tilted
possibly if you shot down (ie from the stairs) it would have beenbetter |

Good indoor exposure. The white socks a little distracting. |

I love your big happy family picture. To me this is what "people" is all about - family. Very nicely done, too. 9 |

Looks like quite a party! Very well lit. The high key lighting really works here to help punch the dark skin and keep is contrasty to the background. |

The main point of this photo is out of focus. You want the main subject to be completely in focus, but it looks like she moved at the last moment. |

Brings back memories of dozens of family events and the obligatory group photos. This is what pictures are for. |

I guess the birthday girl is the one that in the middle? She's the only one out of focus! too bad, sweet family photo though, love the light coming in from outside..you should have put more people on the stairs, too crowded down... |
