Love the composition! I'm also a big fan of the color choice here. Its subtle yet smooth and warm. It almost has a rustic old feeling to it. And the composition is very dynamic and unique. One of my favorites after more than 100 images. :) Nice job. 10 |

Pretty good. Top of the head is too close to the horizon. Feels uncomfortable. |

You lost too much of the detail of the horse in the post processing |

Perhaps a entire head shot may have shown better? |

One of my(many minor) pet peeves at this site is the photo of a horse standing around looking stupid. It works well for photos of cows, because stasis and blankness is quintessential cow nature. But horse nature - in our imaginaition - is horsesense and motion. To capture the spirit of the horse, it must be in motion. So when I saw this photo I had to wonder whether this is a kind of parody of photo of the horse standing around looking stupid or whether it was the real thing.
I keep trying to see something, anything, in this photo and all I see is two ears and a bunch of hair exquisitely lit and sharply in focus. Everything else is impossible - might as well be out of focus. Sorry, but the longer I look at this photo the less I see in it. |

great...I think the whole face could of also been included, to show the long face but I like your intention in cropping the nose |

This is an interesting use of thirds, keeping 2/3 of subject in and cutting out 1/3, this is a very funny photo, I can barely see thru my laughter tears enough to type. I am giving it a good score, well done. |

did you have to crop out the snout? really great photo, but would have scored higher because it's distracting for me without the nose. |
