This is an interesting idea, although the billowy smoke coming out makes it look not like a real shotgun blast, almost like someone blue smoke from a cigarette down the barrel of the gun, Also from the background I'm guessing this was taken indoors. The narrow crop doesn't work for me in this situation either, the crop and the border together make this shot feel cramped. Again, I like the idea behin this and have tried similar shots outside myself while my husband is shooting, tough to capture! |

Like the blue color in your background, but would like to see this with pure black. Love the smoke. |

INteresting, but maybe a little too blue, would be better against a black background. 2 |

I like the smoke and the blue background. The picture is cropped a little to tightly for my tastes. 5 |

I think this would have been great as a larger photo--I don't think the photo was suppose to be minimalistic. |

Cool idea! That cliche "the smoking gun" brought to frame. |

I really like the shapes of the smoke wisps and the colors in this photo. Very nice work. |

Great smoke capture. Always find it so difficult to take really good pictures of smoke. The blue really helps to contrast it. My only complaint is that I wish it wasn't cropped overall so tight. |

Not quite sure if the framing works quite right. If the barrel was in focus it would be a powerful image. |

I'm not so sure I like the long and tall cropping, but I do like the subject and how it was photographed |

It doesn't really look like a shotgun to me. Maybe show more of it. |

Now wouldn't that be excellent if the barrel was pointing up too ? |

Interesting concept, and very pretty. I'm very curious to see if you get any complaints about the size, since you didn't max out the image dimensions in either direction, and have a border to boot, but it didn't bother me. |
