visiting my faves...
this was my first fave. the thing that struck me about the image was that it was so, well, eye-catching. sure, post-processing was pushed to the max, but, all the same, it takes a great base image to begin with. this is a great example of just what can be done--if you have a strong base image.
this is an image that i would not attempt to duplicate, not in the sense of finding a tripped-out fire truck, but one that i would keep around as a reminder of what is pleasantly possible, if you get it right in the camera.
another thing i like is that this image is two years old, and it is still just as strong as it was yesterday. lastly (and this is a BIG deal), mario is still not only very active at dpc, but has over a 5.8 average after over 140 challenges! keep it up! |

Briliant photo... After reading the comments I was really impressed, as I thought the firetruck was in motion. This was by far my favorite, I think you got robbed :( |

nice to see a shot of a prank that actually occurred... the green and feathers weren't added digitally, right? nice framing of a moving subject, you've got quick reflexes. nine for you. |

Okay.. while I'm not a big fan of the Joke here, I'm really a sucker for a good pan. This constitutes a good pan. The green makes it a bit surreal too. Good job. |

Now thats a practical joke! Was this photoshop work at all? It looks so real, as if the fire department staged it for some event... Either way, very nicely done. |
