I like the vanishing point effect from the clouds on the left side of the screen. Nice colors as well. 7

Many things in the image. Not very minimal in that way, but nice capture though and good idea.

the image has a lot of potential to be spectacular. The composition is perfect but I would really encourage you to post process this again... your tree is bordering on black sihlouette, your sand should be a bit brighter with more yellow and red tones to it (right now its really dull) and your sky should be blue rather than cyan. When I look at this shot thats what I imagine myself seeing.

This may be a little hot but I like it

I like the composition, however the sky above the horizon is way overproccessed and negatively impacts the image. The clouds also grab my attention as the strong point rather than the tree. Good Luck.

good idea, but the sky is blown in the back

Smaller would be ok because you are only seeing black.

The clouds look a little blown out and the tree a little dark. Impressive colors and composition. 7

Nice view but looks a bit over sharpened or neatimaged.

This looks quite a bit over processed on my monitor, and the sky overpowers your intended subject. IMO anyway.

Nice colors, somehow it looks like a painting, it might be somewhat overexposed right above the horizon. Good one though!

very dramatic sky, nicely done.

Nice, it would be better if the clouds were not so dark, because they almost act as a second subject, and detract the attention away from the tree. Maybe a smaller crop to eliminate the grass on the left side as well would be good. A little too dark shadows and a little to light highlights. Needs less contrast perhaps. Good try though, 4

The sky appears to be over saturated or somthing. The color shift is rather disturbing

A little overprocessed to suit me. I bet this does pretty well with most voters though. Nice use of the sky.

Lacks the simplicity and elegance I associate with minimalism, but nice all the same

Eek. Blown highlights all throughout the sky, hurting the eyes and drawing the eye away from the tree into the pure white glare behind it. The wide open space of dull brown sand on the left also fades into some very fuzzy vegetation, which isn't very attractive.

The only positive point is that the colors in the sky on the right are absolutely gorgeous. If you had framed this vertically around the tree, giving it more textured earth below and more dark cloud above, cropping tightly left and right, it would have been much better, avoiding much of the blown white on the left.

It's unfortunate that the basic rules of editing restrict the post processing of this image so much. Being able to brighten up the tree and calm down the overexposure in the sky would really make it an interesting shot. Good composition spacially, but those two elements really take away from it, IMO. You should clean it up for your portfolio with advanced editing just for show.
