CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE

You have met the challenge in a creative and humorous (and probably tasty) way. Though your subject is a good choice, there are some points in the execution of it that hurts the overall effectiveness, I believe. The straight down angle (or close to it) gives the shot a static look. The eyes rest on the center of the pizza, and then have no where else to go. Also, there is some glare on the pan, indicating that the lights were a little strong. I think playing around with the angle of shooting here would have added some interest. Perhaps a low angle, shooting across the top of the pizza. And I know it is picky, but the pepperonis would have been a more effective pi if they were "neater" or more symmetrical.

| There are a lot of photos like this one, that tried to address the subject in a humourous way, but don't succeed as an artwork. The aesthetics of a photo like this are weak. It's centred, static, geometric, and the glistening cheese fat makes me feel ill. |

| There is something strange about the lighting here...I see what looks like purple and white maggots on some of the pizza...makes the image a bit unappealing *sorry* |
