Yup! I did not notice it until afterwards. Do you think it matters?

great light

That's obviously not a tack... Ooops wrong challenge! :-P Great simple composition. Love the catchlight on the head of the pin. It's a little grainy, but doesn't detract from the overall effect, but I'm not sure it adds to the effect either. Did you add grain, or is that the way the camera captured it? Just curious.

Cool. Reminds me of a clock or a fire alarm.

Looking at this, I can see myself taking several dozen photos in an attempt to accomplish what you've managed in one. Whether it was the only effort or one in a hundred, it stirs a wee bit of envy here and that inspires and motivates. I suppose this all means that if I wished I'd thought of it .. and accept I'd have struggled to achieve it then I must commend your effort and success. Funny thing that ... it may easily have fallen onto your sensor with less effort than a sneeze -- it still looks great to these eyes . . .

Concept is good. Focus works for me. Not so interesting.

Great idea. I love your use of light to "spotlight" it. It makes such a simple object stand out.

Good, I like this. You've reduced the necessary information used to portray your subject to an absolute minimum, I would say. The concentric pattern of the light is key, and that pin is clear although its nothing more than pure black and white. strong compositionally also - feels like you've paid attention to the fine details, all of which stuff I would suggest is requiite for minimalism.

This is a nice image. I really like all the contrast seen in this photograph. I also like the shadow and the angle from which you shot this. Nice work.

Reminds me of a sundial or something. I like it in B&W. The spot seems a bit harsh to me. But that is just a personal opinon. I still gave it an 8. Good Luck.

acute concentration. great way to lead the eyes. Bumping up.

This is great! I'm sitting here wondering how you got that perfectly white light right in the middle against the pure black background. Excellent job, and a very appealing minimalist photograph! 10

My personal taste is less contrast. I would have like this better a little softer. Nice take on the challenge though. Good luck!

Good shot, except for the grey ring on the inside of the main light circle, was this from the leveling perhaps?
