Great detail lighting and composition. Good choice of background. I'm only bothered by the lack of definition between the upper head and 'shoulder', but probably can't be helped. -9

Somehow this composition does not work out well enough for me, the ant is too near to the photo's border and the whole black part of the photo doesn't do very much for it.

This shot is another of my favorites, although I think the ant is a little too close to the edge.

Now, that is a black ant. Deep and rich black color, nice contrast with the green, and excellent highlights. SHARP!!! Meets challenge very well.

Interesting shot. To me, the ant is too large in the shot to make it shout minimalistic, but the way you have presented it is excellent.

the ant appears as though it is made of black patent leather, the highlights on the ant are perfect, very nicely done.

i think it would be better if the ant would face the opposite direction. now it seems to be going out of the picture :) but on the whole, i quite like it

The lighting is just a little harsh. A diffuser might help calm the reflection.
