this is just a shot of someone's residential road. doesn't fit the topic and isn't artistic at all. |

The tree line and the road both lead my attention away from the subject and out of the picture. All of the concrete at the bottom of the image seems to do little for the composition. |

Not much of a 'wow' factor or minimalist factor. 4 |

Yes it is a car, but it's not very interesting overall |

I like this image based on its artist qualities.....I don't think meets the description of the challenge or the definition of minimalism because if I was looking at this image alone without knowing the title the description of challenge, it would be a photograph of a tree lined road with a car, sidewalks and house in it.
What I like about it is the way you have delt with the wieght of the trees and the road with the curves of the side walk. It is pleaseing to look at and says nothing profound...believe it our not I like that because it is images like that that allows me to image a story around the image. 6 |

Maybe a fancier car would have made this photo better. It might have also benefited from less of a detailed background. This scene for me isn̢۪t very memorable and there is nothing that really stands out and grabs my attention. |

interesting use of theme, touristy, nice dof, whites need work, blacks ok, nice lines, color seems faded |

Not the most interesting subject, but fits challenge! |

I think a different angle would help improve this image greatly. if you moved to the left, this would give the trees harder angle, making the image more interesting. You could crop everything from the left of the street out, as I think that is taking away from the photo. |

you fit the challenge.
what intrigues 'you' about this photo?

Not a lot of interest here, for me at least. |

I think this will prove too busy generally around frame to meet most folks' idea of this challenge - sure it meets the specific requirement, but people bring their own ideas, also. Technically, I think it's too bright overall: the colours lack vibrancy, and yet are not de-saturated to remove their presence, or to make a feature of that. |

IMO I think there is a little much going on, I'm not sure what the main focus of the photo is. |

Background is too busy. Perhaps if the car had been in an empty parking lot (not likely, I know) or against a grassy hill or smooth faced building this would have fit the challenge better. |

OK, it fits the challenge, but couldn't anyone have taken this photo any day of the week? I'd to see something a bit more original... maybe if the car had been in more striking scenery? |

This picture has a lot of negatives in terms of aesthetics (buildings, position and lighting of subject) as well as a number of positives (trees, feeling of emptiness and sterility of suburban life.) It meets the challenge well, so a 7. |

I think the composition of this photo has some real potential. I would suggest a slightly different crop to allow the image to flow and to further draw attention to the car. From the bottom I would crop up to the point in the curved sidewalk where it veers off to the right. Then from the right I would crop in until the little piece of sidewalk that̢۪s goes to the right is cropped. This will allow the curve of the road to lead your eye to the car, without any distraction. Also it removes almost the entire first tree leaving you with the rest of the tress that look soft and green. From a technical standpoint I would also try to have the main subject (car) a little sharper the focus is a little weak. |

This just lacks interest. |

A difficult image to comment on really, it has simplicity and is minimal, but the elegance I associate with minimalism is lacking |

Good idea, but the framing could be improved |
