I wish there were more contrast so the bird jumped out at you. You could probably go into hue/saturation and make the yellow-green grass darker and more green than yellow and the red would look better, I think.

the grass being so sharp takes attention away from the bird imo.

Little more contrast or saturation on the grass, it's pretty bright. It does meet the challenge.

something about the grass that turns me off here. Not enough green in it. Too much yellow dead grass color.
