Besides being a good photo it makes me really hungry. I like the composition and how you can see the texture of the rice. I'd be curious to see how the sushi might look with a white background as well. Just thinking out loud :) Nice entry.

some of the ingerdients if the sushi look a bit overexposed but it is a great shot that fits the theme might have scored higher if the lighting was fixed and the sushi was a little smaller/farther away but an 8 is nothing to cry over

Yum... nice capture of color - I think this may have been enhanced with maybe a chopstick in the frame or a green leafy compliment.... even a different colored solid background....

I think your subject is a bit too large for the challenge, but I like the shot. I like the way the seaweed disappears into the background shadow. Could use a little sharpening.

The background and the seaweed are too close in color. Good picture but I would have liked to see the sushi more identifiable or defined. (looks good though)

Nice comp. but I think shooting the sushi not directy at the light source would eliminate the small glare the the white parts of the fish reflect. nice. 5

The outer edge of the suchi seems to blend into the background a little too much, there is not a clear distinction between them. It may be my monitor, so I am giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Good interpetation of the challenge. lighting on the top and side of the sushi would give it dimension. the whites could be whiter (IMO).
