this challenge was before my time but I would have given it a high score. it is an excellent example of minimalism. |

there is nothing i want to see on this photo, and it still manages to get cluttered. it would already improve a lot if you'd have just one or two trees or lampposts instead of five. |

I think the idea is OK, but you need a bit more "information" here. Just the tops of 4 trees and 2 lights doesn't quite do it IMHO. Maybe go back a bit further and have a bit more of the parking lot included, up to about the same height where the tree tops are now? It's just an idea. |

Yes it is a parking lot... Or is it?
Your repeating main subject is a little...hmmm... I just don't know. There just doesn't seem much to look at. |

Not much of a compelling subject. 4 |

This is certainly minimalism, but lacking an interesting subject. Perhaps a whole lamphead in the foreground corner so some details and reflections could be seen. |

Technically this is a good shot, just not very interesting to me. |

To be completely honest when I look at this picture it reminds me of something that I might have accidentally taken by bumping the shutter button while carrying the camera around. There doesn’t seem to be anything interesting anywhere in the frame and certainly nothing to keep me looking at it for more than a couple of seconds. Maybe it would have been better to only have one treetop or light pole as the subject. For me neither one would have been a strong subject but at least my attention wouldn’t be divided between six of them. |

I don't think the title fits your picture well. I understand what you were trying to achieve but the parking lot is not visible however light post are but they can be around a walkway, park, etc. Even if I take the light post as the subject they are not a strong point in the picture. The tree second from left is stronger because it has more contrast and better detail. I wish you well in the challenge. |

I think you met the challenge, but the main subject is so uninteresting that you might as well have just left it out. Just my opinion and others might score it higher. |

the subject seems to have been mostly cropped out - not minimalism for me |

It appears that the subject is Nitrogen in the atmosphere (the sky) and that would be filling the entire image. |

I really dislike this. Not pleasant to look at. I feel like I am tied up in the floor of a car staring out at the parking lot. |

In a minimalistic photo, its very important for there to be a strong subject to hold the attention of the viewer |

A difficult image to comment on really, it has simplicity and is minimal, but the elegance I associate with minimalism is lacking |

I've been scoring negatively for having multiple points of focus, but in this case, it seems to work, as I can see all six objects as a clipping of a single item somehow. I'm not sure *why* it works for me, though. My reasoning seems arbitrary even to me, but it's working in your favor so I guess you won't complain. :)
A couple bonus points for being interesting, but minus one for the slight halos around the trees. 6. The image doesn't really grab me, though, so no higher. |
