Your photo in or out, would have fared better in the light challenge, especially if you titled it lean forward and back. I love your collection of lenses. Your picture of a flicker makes me hesitant to ask my question, but you asked for it so here goes:

In photo shop, for color management, for the working rgb color space, I am permitted to specify the color space of my trinitron monitor. However, when I do save for web, it changes the color space to srgb which looks awful on my monitor. But, if I specify the working color space as srgb, the colors do not change when I do save for web. By the way, most all of the photos on the web look fine on my monitor and those that I edit using srgb as my working rgb color space, are not criticised by voters but those I edit using the trinitron color space are.

By the way, if you do understand color spaces, would you please comment on my entry to the surrealism challenge.

Thank you very much in advance.

Nother brown chalked up to you, wondering about this experiment? I would love to see what results/thoughts you have after completing.

I don't understan this shot..there isn't anything there? I guess you can't get more minimal than that!
05/03/2005 09:39:34 PM
This image is too small. If there's anything but a gradient here, I can't make it out.
05/03/2005 02:47:32 PM
Out!
05/03/2005 09:20:56 AM
???
05/03/2005 12:03:11 AM
Really nice abstract shot!
05/02/2005 12:44:52 AM
I'm sorry, but I just can't make this out.
05/01/2005 07:09:44 PM
??????????
05/01/2005 03:07:03 PM
i think this is horrible and im giving it a 1... there is no hope/room for improvement for this shot.
04/30/2005 10:38:17 PM
Not much contrast. 1
04/30/2005 08:06:42 PM
What? And why did you not take a picture of something? Why am I commenting even?
04/30/2005 07:49:52 PM
just over line from minimalism to nothing - lacks focal point IMO
04/30/2005 06:13:39 PM
I think the problem here is that the image is to small and just feel apart when I opened it...sorry for the low score but I see more pixels than photo.
04/30/2005 05:04:12 PM
Congratulations, this is the first 1 I have ever given in a challenge.
04/30/2005 04:11:37 PM
Ummm, i'm not exactly sure about what this is...sorry-2
04/30/2005 05:10:36 AM
I find this hard to interpret as minimalism
04/30/2005 12:32:15 AM
I like the way the darker sides blend softly into the lighter center with no distinct demarcation. I like the softness and simpleness.
04/29/2005 11:22:01 PM
Needs to be larger. No one could deny that it's minimal!
04/29/2005 10:51:33 PM
Maybe my mind isn't open enough for this kind of art, but I can't tell what you wanted to express by this photograph. And it's too small. I don't give that many 1, but I can't find any reason to give more than that, sorry.
04/29/2005 10:16:07 PM
OK, I think. Why not a 10? Sure why not.... A 10 for you
04/29/2005 07:30:00 PM
Second pass--Bumping up! Didn't quite understand this at first.
04/29/2005 05:06:54 PM
What the...???
04/29/2005 02:10:43 PM
?
04/29/2005 12:30:04 PM
huh?
04/29/2005 11:40:41 AM
interesting use of theme,boring
04/29/2005 09:55:37 AM
If this shot was bigger maybe it would have some meaning...
04/29/2005 09:52:07 AM
what is it? way too small, all i see is a gray photo
04/29/2005 09:02:30 AM
I get it..but at this size it is hard to see.
04/29/2005 02:55:58 AM
Huh? Definitely out.
04/29/2005 01:18:10 AM
:)
04/29/2005 01:09:45 AM
Even in minimalism, you should actually have a photograph of *something*.
04/28/2005 10:28:10 PM
The composition is a little boring...

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
04/28/2005 04:08:40 PM
Not quite sure what to make of this one, where is the subject?
04/28/2005 02:09:55 PM
in or out that is the question? to be or not to be lol different i give you that
04/28/2005 01:19:08 PM
Well I guest you have been told by now, nothing I can add.
04/28/2005 09:08:42 AM
I made the same mistake of sizing my photo way too small in my first challenge, scored really low because of it, boy was that a long week! Can't see that this is a photo of anything but a grey background. Good luck in future challenges.
04/28/2005 03:57:42 AM
small and not sure what it is
04/27/2005 11:13:55 PM
pic is too small.
04/27/2005 11:08:17 PM
I'm sorry I don't get it. Your pic is to small..
04/27/2005 10:51:04 PM
I'm not sure what the subject of this photo is supposed to be.
04/27/2005 10:20:35 PM
So minimalistic it's missing the focus...
04/27/2005 05:03:23 PM
what is it? I can't tell what I am looking at.
04/27/2005 04:01:21 PM
Sorry, but I don't see "any" subject matter other than the light/shadow/darkness. Interesting concept, but I don't see it as especially indicative of the topic...
04/27/2005 03:10:05 PM
Just because...I'm giving this a super high score...to counter act the super lows I know this a probably getting {{{ giggles}}}
04/27/2005 02:02:21 PM
Not sure what this is supposed to be a picture of, which makes it hard to judge. I don't see a main subject here (unless it is the reflection of light), so it doesn't seem to meet the challenge requirements. If the subject is the light (or the gray color of the background), it still does not meet the challenge IMO because it takes up so much of the image space.
04/27/2005 01:20:25 PM
Perfect. 10
04/27/2005 11:05:38 AM
Not sure what the subject is.
04/27/2005 11:04:40 AM
way too small and wheres the subject?
04/27/2005 10:40:09 AM
what's that?
04/27/2005 10:21:10 AM
too small
04/27/2005 10:13:11 AM
Very minimal, not sure the subject is the 'strong point' of the photo. How would I know?
04/27/2005 09:50:49 AM
too minimal
04/27/2005 06:40:04 AM
Minimal -OK, but small is definately not good
04/27/2005 03:16:46 AM
minimal yes but not much to look at
04/27/2005 03:08:47 AM
It's small, but it appeals to me. How did you make this?
04/27/2005 02:48:03 AM
It doesn't get any more minimalist than not having any subject whatsoever. :P
04/27/2005 02:29:31 AM
I don't really see how this relates to minimalism
04/27/2005 12:51:44 AM
uhh...?
what happened there?
04/27/2005 12:34:46 AM
I'll say it in advance.....congrats on the brown.
