He looks really bored. I hope you don't get hurt too badly with your scooby shadow.

GREAT expression on the face of this young man. However, the lighting seems a little bit harsh. It's ok to have some shadows...they'll help show the lines of the face and express the mood. What an adorable little fella though!! Sure hope he found something to do!

The grain doesn't do much for this particular scene

Great except for flash shadow. I don't know a great deal about studio lighting, but I know how much I dislike the camera flash look.
Otherwise a really great expression and setup. :)

looks like a pic out of the 50's .... a little post photo editing to reduce harshness of flash may have helped tpo give more depth

the oncamera flash is creating some harsh shadows.

You should have used other lightning than just the flash, it creates a ugly shadow to the right. The picture is also somewhat noisy...

Nice choice for a title. Image looks a little over exposed

Onboard flash has resulted in really ugly shadows. Background doesn't work... if you have a background with lines you really need to be straight onto them anyway.

Nice composition & cute pose. It looks grainy to me though. I'd also suggest moving the subject away from the background or find another way to avoid the shadow.

So wonderful to see a child who still uses his imagination to play and not a an XBOX. Even if he is bored. Nice capture, Seems just a tad out of focus

What a shame the lighting has killed the photo. The expression is terrific, but harsh light and heavy shadows have ruined the effect

Is it me or is this picture a bit grainy?? the what looks like bath tiles in the background are a bit distracting

harsh shadow from the flash would be okay by itself, but with the high grain this picture winds up looking amateurish... which is a shame, because in its other respects (composition, interest, relevance to challenge) it is very strong. (6)

werry grainy. And a bit blown, but you vill get a lot of those comments. I like the pose, and the bordom in the kids face. The shadow is a bit hard behind him.

First think I noticed is the tile. Looks like it was taken in the shower/bathroom. Next the shadow that runs the along his outline. Then the noise.
The tile is a bit bright and although plain it's surface is reflective and can cause trouble. The shadow..you just have to watch out for them, move your lights or your subject. Last the noise..?ISO if it's too high it will be there. Personally in many shots I like noise and it can add to a shot.
Finally: This little man is so cute..erh handsome. He could be a model. Your shot is okay but the light is pretty strong. The focus is good and the pose is good.
You on target for the challenge.

nice expression of boredom
ideas I think that would improve this shot are move the subject away from the wall more so that the shadow would not be as prominent and shoot so that the right side of the frame runs down his shoulder and gives more space in front to help balance the shot as it seems to be left side heavy and looking into nothing would enhance the feeling of boredom ~ 6

boredom, yes, it's there. the shot though could have been photographically much better: use of flash and background is what kills it for me
