Don't shoot, I give you a 7, no an 8, no a 9 |

I've never seen a front iron sight like that. Interesting. |

Pointing a gun at the viewer is not usually recommended, but it is surely effective here. |

Totally honest, guns do disturb me, but I do not deduct marks for being disturbed. The background should be less distinguishable, the site being in focus but not the tip of it detracts from its impact. Lighting from a different angle would make it more surreal. 7. |

It's a mood alright, but I'm always very uneasy about gun shots on DPC. Great dof, colours work very well, well composed. |

Now this is the way a shallow DOF should be used. I'm willing to overlook the fact that 'predominance' is not an emotion but rather more of a state of affairs, because I'm pretty sure that whatever drives someone to point a gun at someone else is emotional in itself. 8 |

Wow... Did this one take me by surprise! Nicely done - I'm not a big fan of guns, but I think you definitely got your point across - and I even like it. :-) Actually, it's a very good macro photo. Hats off to you for not only being original, but for pulling it off too! (9) |

I like the subdued colour & shallow dof. If I had to nit pick something I'd choose the frame, I think black might suit the shot better. [9] |

Excellent focus and composition! What's that spot to the left of the sight, though? |

I almost submitted a shot that was very similar to this, but with a handgun! |

Nice dof. menacing shot. good title. there's a darker line on the left side that's a bit of a distraction. I'd score 7, but am actually rating 8 to overcompensate for all those who might vote this down because of the rifle. |

I'm not sure what it's called but the shading lines to the left of the face are distracting, and I'd rather have the Focal point be the tip of the barrel, not the sights. |

very strong - the DOF is perfect. colors are nice and deep, much to my liking. the barrel of the gun is very low in the frame, though, and makes the image a bit bottom-heavy. (7) |
