um...kinda looks like his head as been severed. his neck blends in with the background a bit too much - I'd back up the shot a bit, and include both ears. |

I don't get the cadaver sense from this, and like the expression, including the lack of eye contact. The crop does bother me a little, though. I'd like to see it just a little lower, to provide symmetry of spacing between the left and right edges of the chinbone, and then possibly a very small amount more on the left and top, so that the hair doesn't feel chopped.
Oddly, I don't have any problem with the sharpness of the nose or mouth, but the way the chin blurs I find distracting, possibly because of the sharpness of the unshaven hair just on either side. |

Unique approach. Lovely tone to the photo. Focus seems a little soft around his chin. My eye keeps being drawn to his ear. Overall I like it. |

Yes, the extreme angle without eye contact makes him look, dare I say, like a cadaver. |

This image has lovely tone and light. I'm less keen on the angle and crop - it feels close and confined without really becoming intimate. I think some eye contact would have made it more personal. Mostly I just find myself wondering why he's at such an extreme angle. It looks like you've got a real talent for portraiture, though. |

A nice image but IMHO it looks a little soft around the nose and mouth. I know the eyes are sharp and I like the composition but I would have liked to see the rest sharper. I find the lack of focus in these areas a little distracting, especially once you've noticed them. |
