Mea culpa, mea culpa. My first challenge, and hopefully there's nowhere to go but up. Yes, I hadn't noticed that it had to be outside (lesson learned: read the full description), and I got the time on the clock completely wrong (lesson learned: pay attention to details), and I agree that the phone was really dirty (it's clean now!).

Many many thanks to all commentators, and particularly those who liked it - you made my day!

One detail I notice here.... the clock has it's PM light on... 4:05 pm is not late night, it's afternoon. Good concept though

4:05 PM? AM might have been better...

clever idea - really petty, but the dirty phone distracts me.

nice photo over all but i do not believe it meets the challenge

An interesting photo but it doesn't really meet the challegne which says you should take a picture outside late at night.

I think this is a Great shot, but you know why....

I like this because there's a story here. I think you did a great job in presenting it. I'm not sure how you set up the lighting here but I think it's exposed too much for a night shot. I would have approached this by using a tripod and a long exposure and shine a dim blue light to simulate darkness.

However, this is one of the best in the challenge. Well done!

haha, great idea, very good thinking outside the box, a little confused tho, does the little light indicate pm? wouldnt that be in the afternoon? haha, good score all the same for originality

Outdoors? Not good with electric clocks, might get rained on.

The challenge required going outside...I'm sure you've already heard that a million times, though.

good idea, but I see the clock says 4:05 *PM* gotta watch for the details ;)

I have to rate low because the challenge rules wanted the shot done oputside.

It's never good getting a phone at that time in the morning.

challenge said outside late at night...

Unless you have unexpectedly lost your roof, this doesn't qualify as "outdoors".

I don't think this photo quite meets the intent of the challenge. If the challenge was about phones or alarm clocks I would have given you a higher score.

Not a picture we would expect for the competition. Original. I wander if you could have thought of the light a bit more.

strange, this loks like an indoor shot

i think it is off-topic, unless your model sluups *outside*. Nice idea though

Oops, I think you missed the "outside" part.

(And if it was late night, the clock would say 4:05 am, not pm.)

Challenge rules: "Take a photograph outside.." This is taken inside so it doesn´t meet the challenge in my opinion. Nice shot though!

AM or PM I can't tell by the clock, I like the image well done

Interesting idea. I would think that the light would be at least dimmed a lot if I were to answer the phone at that time. Perhaps candle lighting would have been better to give the feeling of late night.
