Mea culpa, mea culpa. My first challenge, and hopefully there's nowhere to go but up. Yes, I hadn't noticed that it had to be outside (lesson learned: read the full description), and I got the time on the clock completely wrong (lesson learned: pay attention to details), and I agree that the phone was really dirty (it's clean now!).
Many many thanks to all commentators, and particularly those who liked it - you made my day! |

One detail I notice here.... the clock has it's PM light on... 4:05 pm is not late night, it's afternoon. Good concept though |

An interesting photo but it doesn't really meet the challegne which says you should take a picture outside late at night. |

I like this because there's a story here. I think you did a great job in presenting it. I'm not sure how you set up the lighting here but I think it's exposed too much for a night shot. I would have approached this by using a tripod and a long exposure and shine a dim blue light to simulate darkness.
However, this is one of the best in the challenge. Well done! |

Outdoors? Not good with electric clocks, might get rained on. |

The challenge required going outside...I'm sure you've already heard that a million times, though. |

Unless you have unexpectedly lost your roof, this doesn't qualify as "outdoors". |

I don't think this photo quite meets the intent of the challenge. If the challenge was about phones or alarm clocks I would have given you a higher score. |

Not a picture we would expect for the competition. Original. I wander if you could have thought of the light a bit more. |

Oops, I think you missed the "outside" part.
(And if it was late night, the clock would say 4:05 am, not pm.) |

Challenge rules: "Take a photograph outside.." This is taken inside so it doesn´t meet the challenge in my opinion. Nice shot though! |

Interesting idea. I would think that the light would be at least dimmed a lot if I were to answer the phone at that time. Perhaps candle lighting would have been better to give the feeling of late night. |
