 Ok perhaps an explination is required on this one:

I live in North Korea (the DPRK), a country constantly in the news these days for all the wrong reasons. I decided to submit this image, not because it was the best from this week's night snaps, but because I felt it had something to say about the current news reports on North Korea. My first choice for submission is not technically legal for me to post publically, and I have ethical concerns about releasing images with politically sensative content, so it will have to remain in my personal collection for now.

I trust that viewers of this image will gain a sense of the conflicting emotions that war creates - that for some there is agony and pain, but for others it provides a definition of self and a national identity. North Korea is a country full of such contrasts. I trust that this image in some small way stirs viewers to find out more about this country and its long suffering people.

Very nice image...reminds me a lot of the Korean Monument in DC at night. I took pictures of that last year, and they turned out very ghostly. Extremely eerie. This is a nice image as well. The face looks as if it has no soul. Empty. Great image, one of my favorites in this challenge. <9>

is this a pic of a staute, it looks like it could be of a poster too. I kinda like it. Looks like they were suprised by someone with a light.

Very emotive photo. The nighttime perspective and shadows emphasize the anguish on the face. I love the color tones too.
