 These are the wonderful colors of a hot air balloon just after it landed off road in the open desert of north Phoenix.

As I quickly snapped photographs of anything and everything I was invited to participate in the traditional champaigne toast at the end of a successful hot air balloon landing.

I was treated to the story about how this tradition got started and they gave me the champaigne glass I drank from to take home with me.

It was all over with by 8:10 AM. All in all it was a great way to start the day.

I like the satin textures and rich colors... But I never would have guessed it was a deflated baloon! It's just not what I thought they would look like.
