 Most of my photos shot in L.A. have the dreaded orange street light haze and this is no exception. This is one satellite dish among many at the DirecTV building next door to my work. Not the most spectacular image but I like the shadows created by the lights behind me.

Brightness/Contrast -15/+5 to kill the street lights bouncing off the sky.
Shadow/Highlight -Mainly worked in highlights to bring some detail back to the brighter areas
Crop a distracting light out of bottom.

This shot Great picture,composition, clarity etc. Only thing I'm somewhat uncertain of is the color of the sky.....but what the heck....I just got over it! Good luck.

I'm not sure what it is about shots of satellite dishes, but I always find them intruiging! I really like this -- it's one of my favorites of the challenge!

Great detail in the satelite dish and the lighting is superb. I don't know if it's my monitor, but it looks like there is a compression problem in the sky.

Though Im not thrilled by your subject, I have to say your shot stands out by its simplicity and quality. Composition is very good, wihte balance seems (to me) just right, and so does the neatness of your image. Nice one. 9
