 I had color management set up wrong when I entered my minimalist entry and the colors were real bleached out provoking a number of comments. I also had the subject leaving the frame rather than entering it, a supposed compositional no no. I also tightened up the crop to add more emphasis to the subject.

This looks really good - what an improvement over the other in colors. I thought the width was nice in the original version, though - maybe you could also try cropping in from the bottom instead of such a sharp crop on the sides (but I like this crop, too - it's just an idea).
