Composition - I don't know if the aspect ratio of a photo qualifies as part of the composition, but I don't like these extra long aspect ratios. It just doesn't work for me. The redness of the tape measure is pretty muted and just looks a little red. I think with this title, the tape would have to be really red to be effective. This looks a lot like a plain old tape measure to me. I think a more stunning color would yield a more visually impacting photo.
Technical - Nothing wrong with the way this was taken. I would suggest a little less light but that's just me. The focus and DOF is good. THe framing, for this type of photo works.
Overall - Not a badly taken photo but it could've used a little more pizzazz and even some more color. I think the composition is the main problem with this photo as it is lacking visual impact. i.e. its not terribly interesting. Good luck with your future photos and challenges - Inspzil |

| yes white is all colors together, but is really more neutral than anything.. so for me color is not the dominant subject of the photo |

| Not the most colourful subject for a colour challenge but it is still colour i surpose. The title saves it a bit with the double meaning. Different. 7 |
