Thanks for the great feedback everyone!

Well, I'm pretty chuffed with how well my first entry did, especially considering the fact that I only bothered taking two photos (The first was out of focus, and once I took the second one I immediately liked it). My only regret is not having spent more time processing the raw image to see if I could avoid the blown-out areas of the image. Oh well, live and learn. Perhaps I'll spot-edit it if I ever make a print to hang on the wall.

Very smart with that critical view and lighting to give this image a highly artistic feel while remaining totally faithful to the classical style. Outstanding effort. Bump.

The title spoils the fun of working it out. The picture's spot-on, though.

Cool! The off-angle and off-center of the triangle bug me a bit, but good idea and good shot!

Awesome shot.. my eyes are going mental trying to fathom it... righto think my brain undersstands now.. not a big building as i first thaught...

Very engaging shot... brillant use of light (and dark)..

I think the shot would be improved
(1) if the triangle was centered...
(2) rotated so the top side of the triangle is parallel with the top...
(3) had a less obvious title.. i think it is more intreguing when it is just abstract shapes!

Great photo though! 9

Wow! Great use of chairs! Good abstract shot. (Thank you for telling me they are chairs, I spend way too much time trying to figure out what it is on some of these abstracts). I like this in every way. great lighting and position. 10

A couple of boring old chairs. WOW you made them look realy nice. Spectacular use of lighting and shadows. You turned what would have score most people a 3 into an awsom shot worthy of an 8 great job. My only moplaint is the yellow light spot on the left chair.

One of the most original shots of this challenge. I love the muted tones, the tones of wood. The off centered composition suits the abstract nature of the photo. 9

It's really dark and kind of hard to see what you are getting at. Good concept though.

It's a beautiful shot. I love how you play with the light and shadow. The only minor flaw to me are the slightly overexposed areas on the left chair. Very nice work though.

I like the wood grains and gradients, but the coloration in the bright spots is odd.
