Beautiful clarity on this shot. I really like the flower, especially the way that one of the petals is bent downwards. Good lighting. |

While the petal on the left looks sharp enough, the petals on the right look a bit soft. I'd perhaps like to see it sharp all over. |

The border adds nothing to the image (IMO) it actually detracts from the overall impact. nice focus, good detail, sutle colors. Like the concept.. many of us need to open up a bit more. |

... but opening up on just one side can lead to an imbalance.
I like this - apart from the petal which is lying flat. The lighting on this one petal is too strong giving it some very hot areas, and a different colour cast.
The rest of the flower is beautifully photographed though. The stamen are nice and sharp, and the tips of the petals are nicely *just* out of focus, giving them a nice soft appearance. |
