Photographer's Notes
Took the boat out this evening just before sunset to shoot some lake side houses. I discovered there were 5 big trees in this photo and rushed home to edit and submit.

There are indeed 5 main tree trunks in the photo. This house if it were for sale would sell for about USD 5 Million (1 Million / tree).

As you'll see below, not much post processing at all ... more or less out of the camera.

Enjoy.

Ouch! Quite unforgiving for not being obvious and literal. I got hammered recently for breaking a basic photo rule. I think DPC only rewards outside the box if it is very original and a very good tech shot. Keep shooting.

been there, got the T-shirt, feel your pain my friend. Pick up, dust yourself down and crack on mate.

I was shocked to see how low you scored. It took a few minutes to see what the 5 was in the photo, but it was a wonderful picture.

I got 20 comments on my photo which were all positive, and which I appreciate. 3 of the commenters noticed there were 5 trees in the foreground of the photo.

This is my worst scoring photo, not because it is a bad photo but because the relevance to the challenge was subtle, non-obvious.

Very nice, subtle reference to 5. I had to look hard to find it, and that caused this bump-up.

Um, what should I count?
Nice photograph, regardless.

Not sure what 5 you were going for here unless its the five trees. The image is well composed and color and focus are excellent. Wish I lived here! 6

Five what? I don't see how this fits into the challenge, but it is a lovely photo of this beautiful house.

awesome shot and with a closer look at the picture i think that this is amazing

there are no parts that seem to be over/underexposed and the color and contrast is perfect.

the framing is also nice although i would have included a bit more of the water 8

Ok you got me. I'm not getting the association with five here. It's a good picture of a house, and I'm not making any sort of connection with your title.

It's a lovely photo but I'm just not seeing the "5". What am I missing?

I'm not sure how this fits in to the challenge '5'. I have been looking at it for a while and do not see 5 trees, or 5 windows, or 5 shrubs... I'm not sure what I am missing

I'm missing the 5 here? I will say it's a beautiful estate.

Beautiful picture, but what is the five to meet the challenge?

This is a lovely shot. I would give it much higher than a 6 if there were a predominant motif involving the number 5. I can count five tree trunks, but they are not reallly the subject here. This is also a beautiful home. The timing of the shot was wonderful. Nice job.

The sharpness and focus on this is downright amazing. It almost looks 3-dimensional. I don't right off notice the 5-somethings, but I'm sure it's there somewhere.
