Surreal look in the middle part of the rose - very nice. I think it coul dhave been composed more tightly to eliminate some of the background.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful Rose. Lovely color. Good focus. Good lighting. Visual impact is appealing and has good quality, and in MHO you were heading for a really splendid comment and high score, so why in the heck did you go and crop off the bottom petal??

The color looks too soft. over saturated in the bottom left corner.

This is awesome. I think it looks like a painting somehow. Great lighting, and I like the background...it is kinda fuzzy, giving it a much softer and delicate look. The bottom left is a little bright. Like I said, this is awesome.

This one definitely meets the color challenge as color dominates the photo, but roses are a pretty common subject so the competition is pretty stiff with this subject. The soft focus is a tad strong for my taste. I am also distracted by the dark edge of the bottom left petal. Composition and use of color are very good in this picture and I also really like the background (especially the top left section of it). Finally I donĂ¢€™t care for the border on this picture. Good effort, I gave it a 5.

If you were to crop the photo in the center, it'd be more effective and gets rid of the other elements that are distracting.
