I like the DOF a lot. Bumping. That being said, I don't see enough context to interpret the photo. |

Hmmm someone knows photoshop pretty well. I think you have exagerated the blur a little too much.
Here is a trick, to add more realism to blurred areas, add a little noise Filter>Noise>Add Noise. Only use 1 or 1.5 Try to match the niose level in your actual photo.
I did this same trick on a photo you can see in my profile called "Send 4 Help." |

Great use of shallow DOF. Composition doesn't grab me in terms of where this row of numbers sits within the frame but content itself is unusual and interesting. |
