I like the DOF a lot. Bumping. That being said, I don't see enough context to interpret the photo.

Hmmm someone knows photoshop pretty well. I think you have exagerated the blur a little too much.

Here is a trick, to add more realism to blurred areas, add a little noise Filter>Noise>Add Noise. Only use 1 or 1.5 Try to match the niose level in your actual photo.

I did this same trick on a photo you can see in my profile called "Send 4 Help."

this is a good try but I think this might have been better if the numbers next to the 5 were not quite so blurry...5

Great use of shallow DOF. Composition doesn't grab me in terms of where this row of numbers sits within the frame but content itself is unusual and interesting.
